NHL is returning to Winter Olympic Games 2026 and 2030
The NHL Commissioner Gary Bruce Bettman officially announced world’s best NHL players will participate in the upcoming Olympic Games 2026 and 2030. For the first time, NHL players were allowed in the 2014 Russia Olympics, when McDavid was seventeen. After the announcement, players are curious about the international Olympic Games.
Connor McDavid dominated the 2024 NHL All-Star Skills competition and headed the $1 million prize. McDavid is the world’s best player, he has not represented Team Canada in the Olympic games or Hockey World Cup.

The 2025 NHL All-Star Game is designed by four nations the United States, Sweden, Finland, and Canada. A total of seven games will be played in Round Robin format from February 12-20. Before the 2026 Olympics Games in Milan, the league featured one All-Star Game, the Hockey World Cup, and Olympic games after two years.
The NHL players, five times competed in the Olympic Games 2014 Sochi, 2010 Vancouver, 2006 Turin 2002 Salt Lake City, and 1998 Nagano Olympics. No players participated in the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.
